September 11, 2020

Boone, N.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today endorsed Virginia Foxx’s campaign for United States Congress in North Carolina’s 5th Congressional District.

“Our business community is the engine of economic growth in North Carolina and I am proud to fight for economic policies that help both job-creators and North Carolina workers,” Foxx said. “It’s an honor to receive the endorsement of the Chamber of Commerce in recognition of my track record of fighting for low taxes, regulatory reform and limited government.”

In the Chamber’s endorsement of Foxx, U.S. Chamber of Commerce CEO Thomas Donohue commended Foxx for her strong record of supporting legislation to “advance economic growth, help create jobs, and promote fiscal responsibility.”

“In challenging times, we are reminded of the importance of having leaders who understand the genius of the American system of government and free enterprise and who are willing to tackle the hard problems that confront our nation,” Donohue said. Virginia Foxx’s continued leadership in Congress will benefit the nation as we combat the coronavirus, work to restore economic growth, and expand opportunities for all Americans.”

U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s biggest business federation, representing more than three million businesses of all sizes and types from across the nation.
